A senior in broadcast journalism, I have diverse experience in this field. Born in Hanoi, Vietnam, I started free-lancing for several Vietnamese federal newspapers in high school. I studied in Columbia College Chicago for 4 years before transferring to the University of Arkansas. While studying in America, I'm an active writer for the Vietnam National Television. Whenever I visit my hometown, I sign short term work contracts with news agencies such as BBC Vietnam, Reuters Vietnam, and work with independent documentary teams. Turning down a job offer from Vietnam's Department of Foreign Affair in 2009, I continued my education, am now interning for KNWA/FOX 24 and intend to enter the UA's MBA program in 2012.

Born in Uruapan, México and raised in Fayetteville, Ark., I began pursuing my master's degree in 2010 from the Lemke Department of Journalism, with an emphasis in documentary filmmaking. I've been interested in narrative film from an early age, but am now am looking at documentary as the more honest form. Some of my preferred filmmakers are those who have done both, such as Luis Buñuel, Abbas Kiarostami and Frank Capra. Before working on my master's, I was a print journalist, having written for The Orlando Sentinel, El Pregonero, La Prensa Libre, and The Arkansas Traveler, where I served as editor-in-chief.

After spending the first 18 years of my life in Eskisehir, Turkey, I moved to Istanbul for my college education at Bogazici University in the department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling. Thanks to the Sociology and Anthropology courses I took as an undergrad, I could work on my interest in sociological matters and I decided to continue my studies in these areas. Eventually, I did my MA on Sociology at Koc University in Turkey and thanks to the Fulbright Scholarship, now I am continuing my PhD study at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in the Cultural Anthropology program. Planning to be an academician later on, my interest in finding alternative ways to the academic texts for communicating human experience resulted in my curiosity in documentary film making. In the future, I aim to produce anthropological films on the matters I study, hoping to be able to speak to larger audiences.
